How To Rate Your Miscrits

Here's an old post I was working on about rating Miscrits. I'm sure it's quite outdated now, but here it is anyway.

The most important aspect of rating a Miscrit is to understand how powerful each stat is in relation to the typical categories of Weak, Moderate, Strong, and Max. The breakdown is really very simple. Here are the averages you would expect to see for each stat, excluding Health, for levels 10, 20, and 30:

Level 10
  • Weak: Under 20
  • Moderate: 22
  • Strong: 25
  • Max: 29+
Level 20
  • Weak: Under 30
  • Moderate: 34
  • Strong: 45
  • Max: 50+
Level 30
  • Weak: Under 40
  • Moderate: 45
  • Strong: 67
  • Max: 76+
Please keep in mind that these are only averages for each level bracket based on my personal observations. You can use this list to check your non-random Miscrits to see if their stats are growing as the should be. Don't worry if your Miscrit is under the average by a few points, unless it's happening with several stats. You can also use this list to determine how good a random stat is in comparison to a normal, non-random stat.

Health works a little differently than the other stats. Here's a similar list for Health:

Level 10
  • Weak: Under 30
  • Moderate: 32
  • Strong: 36
  • Max: 40+
Level 20
  • Weak: Under 50
  • Moderate: 55
  • Strong: 65
  • Max: 70+
Level 30
  • Weak: Under 80
  • Moderate: 85
  • Strong: 96
  • Max: 102+

Wind Miscrit Rankings

Here's an old guest post that I never fully edited. Enjoy!

In this series of posts, I'm going to highlight some of the best and worst Miscrits in the game, and why they are so good or bad. Hopefully this will help you with your teams. I'll rank the Miscrits from best to worst in each element, and give details to each Miscrit such as what kind of Miscrit it is (tanker, nuker, etc.) Oh yeah, and I'm not going to bother with the starter Miscrits (Flue, Flowerpiller, and Prawnja), since their dark versions are pretty much the same... but better. And one last thing, I'm not including Volcano Island Miscrits in here, like Slithero, Rockodile, Shroomer, and Scorcero because they're still largely unknown.

Wind
1. Mun Kee
Probably one of the best miscrits in the game, with an awesome skill set and great stats. It has max elemental attack and strong elemental defense, and with good rolls on its health and speed, it becomes a beast. With deep sleep, cool breeze, and high focus, you could do a lot with this miscrit.
2. Flutterpat
With max elemental attack, this fast miscrit could be really good as well with good elemental defense. I'm not really clear on all its skills yet, but I do know that its ariel strike at level 30 can deal a good amount of damage - an AP of 2, but can attack up to like 16 times (sorry if I'm wrong, its hard to count :P).
3. Leggy
With strong elemental attack, elemental defense, physical defense, and speed, it more than makes up for its physical attack and health. With lightning rod and sleep, its skills aren't bad either.
4. Poltergust
With strong attack power and elemental defense, it's also quite good. It's skills are average, with sleep.
5. Jack
Jack has strong elemental attack, with its health and speed random. It's quite average, and I'm not too familiar with its skills, so I can't say much about it.
6. Equestrion
With strong defenses, it's not too bad, but it can't deal much damage. But it's quite average nevertheless. Nothing too special except for its high focus and lullaby wind, which is a 23 AP attack with a chance of sleep.
7. Breezycheeks
Now I'll admit, Breezycheeks is a really weak miscrit, but she's placed here because of his level 10 move, dizzying winds, which is pretty strong. Other than that, this extremely fast elemental miscrit is that great due to its weak health and physical defense.
8. Aria
With weak health, this elemental miscrit isn't that good. However it does have sleep, and 2 25 AP attacks.
9. Owlie
I hate to say this, because I think Owlie is one of the coolest looking miscrits around, but it is pretty weak, with bad physical defense. But with a combo of good elemental attack and speed, it might not be too bad.

Lightning
1. Thundercracker
With strong elemental prowess and physical attack, and potential to be fast, it's the obvious choice for best lightning miscrit. With venom, sludge, and high focus, it's very good at level 28, and maybe level 30. Too bad it doesn't have a 25 AP elemental attack though.
2. Jellyshock
A good physical miscrit with a nice skill list, Jellyshock is the second best miscrit. With fury, and sock - which is a 10 AP attack with a chance to confuse, it can do some nasty damage.
3. Luna
Although it has weak health, it is a good fast elemental miscrit. With scorched earth, toxic, and laser focus, it has nice skills. However, I would definitely NOT recommend it for level 30 -- because its last attack, leech drain, does little damage, and only heals it a little bit.
4. Arigato
With strong attack power, this miscrit is a fighter. With bright lights, sleep, and some good buffs and debuffs, Arigato is pretty good.
5. Sparkslug
A good elemental miscrit, it's skills focus on better attacks, and buffs and debuffs.
6. Microblast
Okay, first of all, sorry if I misjudge this miscrit, I've only seen it once in battle before, so it might be better than I think. It's a strong fast elemental miscrit with weak health and physical attack (much like a leggy, but worse I suppose). And I also noticed that its skills only consists one physical attack - which is the basic hit - which kind of sucks for him.
7. Sparkspeck
A fast, strong elemental miscrit, however is really weak in all things physical, and not to mention health as well. Nothing special about it except toxic.
8. Kiloray
Okay, this miscrit is 100% attacker. Kiloray was not designed to survive :P (a nuker) With weak health, as well as both defenses, its pretty bad. But thanks to it's speed, and good attack power, its not a completely fail. It does have scorched earth, blitzkrieg (AP of 12, can hit 2 times, not that special, I know), and confuse.
9. Statikat
It does have strong elemental attack and speed, but everything else about it is weak. Now I do understand that its last attack has an AP of 26, which is really good, but it still doesn't change my mind. In my opinion, its still not as good as Kiloray, because it can't adapt to situations, for example, if a miscrit is weak in physical defense but good in elemental defense, then Kiloray can work around it, but Statikat can't.

Miscrian Forest Rare Miscrits

Here's an old guest post that I never fully edited. Enjoy!

Author: Yue Fang Ang

5. Here is the list of (forest) rares and how they help you.
- Blazebit. The most famous of all rares, notably thanks to his all random stats. He is certainly powerful if you can get some nice rolls in his stats, however he has all random stats and you will never know how it turns out at the end. He has however probably what is the most powerful level 10 skill: Bombard. With its 7 damage and hit-twice it deals a 14 total damage. He is certainly a great tank with defenses and health very good, a powerful attacker with nice offenses, and is overall very good with nice rolls in stats. Type: Random - Element: Fire – Best levels: (elemental) 10, 22, 30 (Physical) 16, 25
- Waddles. The first ever rare miscrit, he is notably also one of the unique miscrits. His stats are equal to Shellbee, making him a less worthy rare. However he is also the least rare of all rares, it is possible to find 1-2 within an hour. He is most notable for having both Sleep and Confuse- It is possible to land a confuse, then land a sleep making the opponent unable to do anything at all for 4 turns- In which you can debilitate the enemy, then strike with Quack attack. Type: Elemental Tank – Element: Water – Best levels: 10, 19, 22, 30
- Tulipinny. A very well balanced miscrit excelling in Elemental stats with a moderate, strong, strong, moderate, moderate, moderate. He learns confuse as well as poison. Overall a very good Elemental attacker, but nothing special. Type: Elemental Tank – Element: Nature – Best levels: 10, 16, 30
- Treemur: Tulipinny with Weak health. He does however have a nice skill list, including Stilled and Unbreakable. His main weakness lies in his health. Comparable of power to Twiggum and Tulipinny. Type: Elemental Tanker – Element: Nature – Best levels: 10, 19, 30
- Dark Prawnja: A slower Prawnja with Higher physical attack. He learns Overwater and Acid Rain as well, making him very mighty. His final skill Dark Clamp does 27 physical damage, and his Dark Pincer Chop at level 10 deals 11 water damage. A Perfect tanker with Unbreakable. Remember to use Overwater when Nature miscrits are around, and definitely beware Dark Flowerpillar. Also check Chris’s review of him. Type: Physical Tanker – Element: Water – Best levels: *13, 16, 19, 30
- Dark Flue: A Flue with Better skills and higher PD. With his Max physical attack + his Dark Mighty Bash of 27 physical damage he is the ultimate Physical attacker currently. He can tank physical attacks heavily with his Body Blocker, and also deals heavy damage. He has confuse and debilitate as well. He unfortunately has no skill to negate element. Check Chris’s review of him too. Type: Physical Tanker – Element: Fire – Best levels: 16, 30
- Dark Flowerpillar: The final Dark miscrit to be released. Her ultimate ability is her learning 2 poisons which can be used at the same time to deal even more damage- Venom + Toxic combo, 14 and 10 poison damage respectively. Combine her Dark Bugs of 27 Nature damage and her Max EA makes her the strongest Elemental attacker in the game currently. She also learns Photosynth and Confuse. Learning Thrive at level 16 makes he a perfect tank, combined with Toxic + Dark Sting. Also learning Photosynth at level 19 coupled with Thrive makes a good Tank, although training it up to 25 is better. Check Chris’s review of her too. Type: Elemental Striker – Element: Nature – Best levels: 10, 13, *16, *19, 25, 28, 30

* It may or may not be depending on your strategy.
Terms- Elemental Striker: will be bound to lose in a long fight using potions if you try tanking with it. Elemental is its basic form of attack. – Elemental Tanker: Tanks out real good if you buff its defenses. Elemental is its basic form of attack. Random: 3 or more its stats are random, you never know what it will turn out. Physical Tanker: With some defense buffs it can tank out real good. Physical is its basic form of attack.

I will do the Mt Gemma and Sunfall Shores Rares next time, stay tuned for them. I hope that these posts will help you better in deciding which is a great rare, and help you pick out a better team, than having a team of all rares while being unable to utilize them to their maximum.

Fennie Review

Fennie is a powerful Elemental attacker with great stats. It's stat distribution is very similar to Flutterpat, but with superior Health. Fennie makes a very interesting addition to the roster of powerful Earth Miscrits with its Elemental power and Speed. Its skill list is fairly standard, but it does learn a very powerful attack at level 10, making it one of the best Miscrits to use in the Battle Arena at that level. Fennie is a great Miscrit, and I would definitely recommend adding it to your team if you're in need of a speedy Elemental attacker that can take a few hits.

Rating
***** / Excellent

Fennie was available as an award for the Battle Arena, and was purchasable through the Gift Shop. It may reappear in the wild at a later time.
