Ignios Review

A new Fire king has risen. Ignios surpasses Blazebit as the (potentially) most powerful Fire Miscrit in the game, and possibly the most powerful Miscrit period. It has Max Elemental Attack, so you don't have to worry about getting an extremely poor Ignios; they will always be able to deal great damage. It has Weak Physical Attack, but it's easy to avoid using Physical skills. The rest of the stats are Random, so with some luck Ignios can be a real powerhouse. Its skill list isn't particularly great, but it does learn a unique and powerful skill at level 30: Reaping Flame. Ignios is a great Miscrit and I would suggest picking one up as soon as you can!

Where is Kelpa?

Kelpa is a new Nature Miscrit found on Sunfall Shores. All of its stats are Random other than Speed (which is Weak), giving it potential to be one of the most powerful Miscrits. But where can you find Kelpa? It has been seen in two locations so far. The first location is The Sand Castle, south of the entrance. The Sand Castle is visible on the in-game map. To reach it, just walk down across the first bridge and back up the other small one just to the southeast. You can cross over to the island by walking across some rocks in the water. The second location is the treasure chest found in the Jagged Treasure area. The treasure chest is reported to contain other rare Miscrits than Kelpa. To reach it, you have to approach from the southeast just before the long bridge to Dead Island. You'll see a narrow pathway open that leads you in to the treasure chest. X marks the spot.

How to find Ignios

I will try to provide updates of locations of all the new Miscrits on Sunfall Shores, including the rares. One of the most sought after is the new powerful Fire Miscrit Ignios. So where is Ignios? A developer has already confirmed that it will move around throughout Sunfall Shores.

Friday - Ignios can be found in the sinkhole just beside the entrance to the shores. To reach it, walk down across the bridge, then turn northwest. Walk all the way to the fence and then turn up to towards the northeast. Walk across the little stream and straight up to the sinkhole.

Saturday - Ignios is in the egg nest on the far west side of the map. From the bridge at the entrance head all the way southwest, past the Ship Graveyard. Follow along the fence at the top to make sure you stay on the right track. Once you go as far as you can you'll see an egg nest surrounded by a couple of rocks with a half-buried crate below it. Search the egg nest.

Sunday - Ignios is in the diver's helmet on the far west side of the map. Head directly southwest from the bridge at the entrance. The helmet is a little bit further south than the egg nest from Saturday. If you find the nest, the diver's helmet is on the other side of the little waterway.

Remember, Ignios is rare so it may take many tries to find.

Awesome game if you haven't played it:

Mun Kee Review

Mun Kee is one of the most powerful Miscrits in the game. It's a powerful Elemental attacker with good Elemental Defense and potentially high Health and Speed. If you have good luck with the Random stats this Miscrit can be incredibly powerful. Mun Kee has some really great skills, including the infamous Deep Sleep. Using a combination of High Focus, Deep Sleep, and Cool Breeze, you can keep your Mun Kee alive for a very long time. Deep Sleep is also great for buffing yourself with potions. Mun Kee is more vulnerable to Physical attacks, so try not to let it get pounded on by powerful Physical attackers like Dark Flue.

Rating
***** / Excellent

Location
Mun Kee can be found at the peak of Mount Gemma in the crystals on the edge of the cliff. You must defeat the Earth Elementum to reach it. It can be found there Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. It is a rare Miscrit, so it may take many trips to find. Mun Kee also appears in the Gift Shop occasionally.

Fossillia Review

Fossillia is one of my personal favorites. It's a very powerful tank and Physical attacker. Not many Miscrits currently in the game can match Fossillia blow for blow. The only weakness is its Speed, so keep it away from Wind Miscrits that can double turn before you have a chance to use Sandstorm. Fossillia is a pretty straightforward Miscrit; just pound away with powerful Physical attacks. It also has a great debuff, Sludge, and a decent attack buff, Merciless. I would recommend Fossillia for any team that needs a powerful Physical attacker that can take several hits.

Rating
***** / Excellent

Location
Fossillia can be found in Mount Gemma on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. It is located south of The Shack in the three rocks that sit side-by-side. Fossillia has been given as a reward for the Battle Arena, and occasionally appears in the Gem Shop.

Rare Locations - Mun Kee, Thundercracker, Treemur, and Blazebit

As requested by one of my readers, here's a list of the locations of a few of the rare Miscrits in the game.

Mun Kee is at the peak of Mount Gemma, in the crystal rocks at the edge past the Earth Elementum. The Earth Elementum must be defeated before you can reach it. You can find it there Tuesday through Friday. You can read my review of Mun Kee here: Mun Kee Review

Thundercracker is in the second section of Mount Gemma, in the cactus on the edge of the cliff. Just walk west and a little north after you cross the Eternal Falls. It's there Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Treemur is in dead looking trees in the forest on Mondays and Thursdays (such as the brown trees with no leaves).

Blazebit is always available inside the Elder Tree and the two bushes on either side of it.

Remember, they are all rares so it will probably take several tries to find them. You can always check with the Explorers at the entrances of Mount Gemma and the Miscrian Forest to find out some information about the rares available for the day.

Poll Results #3

The third poll for this blog finished today with a total of 198 votes. The poll posed the question "Which Earth Miscrit is the best?" Visitors could select from Digsy, Drilldent, Eggy, and Fossillia. The newest Earth Miscrit, Digsy, won with a respectable 89 votes, or 44% of all votes cast. Digsy is certainly a powerful Miscrit, and you can read more about it in my review: http://miscrit.blogspot.com/2011/06/digsy-review.html

Fossillia, my personal favorite, placed second with 50 votes (25%). Eggy and Drilldent battled it out for third, with Eggy edging the win at 32 votes (16%) to 27 (13%).

All four of these Earth Miscrits are great battlers and you really can't go wrong with any of them! I will be adding reviews of Fossillia, Eggy, and Drilldent in the coming days, so check back soon.

Grubbean Review

Grubbean is a well-balanced Nature Miscrit with a diverse skill list. It is one of the few Miscrits that learns both an Elemental and Physical attack with 25 Attack Power. Coupled with its Strong Physical Attack and Moderate Elemental Attack, Grubbean can adapt its attacks to the weakness of the Miscrit it's facing. With its Strong Elemental and Physical Defense, it can withstand attacks from any Miscrit in the game. Be sure to use a Negate Element potion if it's forced to battle with a Fire Miscrit with good Elemental Attack. Grubbean also has good support skills. It learns Toxic, Confuse, and Intimidation; a powerful combination to use against someone using a lot of potions or buffing and healing skills. Because of Grubbean's diversity, it can make a valuable addition to any team with room for a Nature Miscrit.

Grubbean will be in Sunfall Shores once it is released. The rarity of this Miscrit is currently unknown. It is currently available as a reward for winning 20 battles in the Battle Arena.

Who are the best Lightning Miscrits?

Ever find yourself wondering which Lightning Miscrits are the most powerful? Here's a breakdown of which ones are the best. I'll be using a 5 star system. The ratings represent the maximum potential of the Miscrit. Not all Miscrits will be as strong as they can, particularly the ones with Random stat rolls. Some Miscrits are stronger in certain battles or on certain teams; this list attempts to take a broad view and does not account for all situations.

This list is completely my opinion, and some may disagree with the ratings I assign. If you have a compelling reason why I've under or over rated a Miscrit, please post it in the comments section. I'd love to hear your feedback.

Poll Results #2

The Sunfall Shores Miscrits poll concluded with a total of 228 votes. Not surprisingly, Snorkels won with an overwhelming majority of 146 votes, or 64% of all votes cast. It is a very powerful Water Miscrit, and I look forward to capturing more once Sunfall Shores is released. If you'd like to read more about Snorkels, check out my review: http://miscrit.blogspot.com/2011/05/snorkels-review.html

Leggy placed second with a respectable 41 votes, or 17% of all votes cast. It has quickly become one of my favorite Miscrits in the Battle Arena. Leggy is a great Wind Miscrit that can be useful in a variety of situations. You can read more about Leggy here: http://miscrit.blogspot.com/2011/06/leggy-review.html

Echino, the powerful Nature tank Miscrit, placed third with 23 votes, or 10% of all votes cast. More information about Echino is available here: http://miscrit.blogspot.com/2011/06/echino-review.html

Wavesling finished last with 18 votes, or 7% of all votes cast. While Wavesling was overshadowed by Snorkels, it's still a great Water Miscrit that can make a strong contribution to any team. To find out more about Wavesling, see my review: http://miscrit.blogspot.com/2011/06/wavesling-review.html

Wavesling Review

Wavesling is one of my favorite Water Miscrits. It's a powerful Elemental attacker with good defense. Thanks to OverWater, Wavesling can go toe-to-toe with any Miscrit in the game. The only weakness Wavesling has is Speed, so watch out for fast Nature Miscrits like Dark Flowerpiller that can double turn you before you use OverWater. Wavesling is a great addition to any team that has room for a strong Water Miscrit.

Echino Review

Echino is a powerful tank Miscrit that will be available for capture once Sunfall Shores is released. Echino's great defensive stats, coupled with Photosynthesis, allow it to take a beating from any Miscrit in the game. Its only weakness is Speed, so keep it away from fast Fire Miscrits that can double turn and take out a chunk of Health before you can use Photosynthesis. Echino is a great choice for any team in need of a defensive Nature Miscrit.

Digsy Review

Digsy is the newest addition to the game's roster of powerful Earth Miscrits. Like its counterparts, Digsy has Max Physical Attack. Both defensive stats are Strong, making it a more well-rounded tank than the other elite Earth Miscrits. Digsy has a great skill list containing the best defensive buff and debuff. It also has a new buff called Double Edged that strengthens its Physical Attack while weakening its defenses. Digsy is a great tank and I would recommend it for any team in need of a powerful Earth Miscrit.

Rating
***** / Excellent

Digsy is found in Sunfall Shores. It is a common Miscrit available in the Jagged Treasure area.
